Dear AZ NIGP Members,
November, Here we go! Time to eat turkey, gather with family and scream at our TV’s over football games!
Our 36th Annual Regional Conference and Vendor Expo, HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK FOR PROCUREMENT, was a grand salami. Our Keynote Speaker, Marianne Renner set the tone for the day. Michael and his Regional Conference Committee put together a great conference including sessions that will take your procurements to the next level. We sold out all the vendor booths for the Expo. The Expo was well attended. It was a great opportunity for public sector end users to interact with multiple vendors in one setting. We are especially grateful to our Grand Slam and Lunch Sponsor, 1GPA and all our other sponsors for their generosity. Thank you to everyone who made the day such a World Serious Event!

Hello AZNIGP Members-

It's been another busy 3 months for the chapter. Forum was held in Colorado this year and we had a great time going back in time dressing up like it was 1980! There was a lot of networking between chapter members and colleagues from all over.

Check out all the fun the Young Professionals/Mentoring Committee Networking Event was a few weeks ago.

Don't forget to vote for your next Vice President and Secretary and confirm Michael Greene as your next 2026 President.

We have a member spotlight on Barbara Corella who has been a member of the chapter since 1989.

Pets were abandoned in foreclosed homes, often without food or water. Others were forced into shelters—their owners having no other choice. With the second highest foreclosure rates, and the second highest shelter-euthanasia rates, Maricopa County was experiencing a crisis and no existing service was designed to address the needs of both people and pets.
Jodi was quick to recognize this urgent need and launched Lost Our Home Pet Rescue with just a small network of volunteers who were focused on helping the pets that had been abandoned during the housing crisis. Help and hope were on the way!
